Job Description About Namaste Democracy Namaste Democracy is a mission-driven initiative that promotes political literacy, civic engagement, and awareness through innovative and impactful mediums. Our mission is to transform active engagement from classrooms to polling booths to parliament into a nationwide reality by addressing a critical yet often overlooked step: political literacy. Our Creative Team plays a vital role in bringing our vision to life by creating compelling illustrations, designs, and visual narratives to inspire and engage our audiences. Role Overview We are on the lookout for creative geniuses who can turn political tea into viral moments in our Video Editor Interns. Grab this internship to create engaging videos for Namaste Democracy's social media platforms, campaigns, and website. Leverage the power of visual messaging, knowledge sharing and narrative building with ND's projects, both online and offline. Key Responsibilities Video Editing: Create engaging short form videos for Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn Craft visual stories to simplify research and political content Create visual assets for website content, ensuring consistency with Namaste Democracy's branding. Edit long-form videos for YouTube with compelling visuals and edits Stay updated on social media algorithm, trends and video editing styles Collaboration and Concept Development: Work closely with the research vertical and management to conceptualise and execute ND's vision and mission Take up initiative and creative leadership to amplify the ND vision Incorporate team feedback to refine designs and ensure they meet project objectives What We're Looking For Qualifications and Skills: Currently pursuing or recently completed a course/degree in video editing, motion graphics, or a related field Proficiency in video editing tools such as Premiere Pro, Da Vinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or industry equivalent A keen eye for storytelling and social media engagement Coordinating with research team on visual storytelling and knowledge sharing Team collaboration and time management Personal Attributes: Creative thinker with an eye for audience-friendly content Ability to incorporate new and improvement editing skills to match the current trends Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving Proactive and self-motivated.
