Job Description Description About the Role : We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable Java applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that meet business requirements, mentor junior developers, and drive best practices in software development. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Java applications and services. - Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other developers to gather and understand requirements. - Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices. - Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and provide constructive feedback. - Optimize application performance, troubleshoot and resolve production issues. - Mentor junior developers and share knowledge across the team. - Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and modules. - Ensure adherence to software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes. - Stay up-to-date with the latest Java technologies, frameworks, and tools. - Work in Agile/Scrum teams, participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Required Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 7+ years of professional experience in Java development. - Strong expertise in Java SE and Java EE technologies. - Experience with frameworks such as Spring (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), Hibernate, or JPA. - Proficient in RESTful API design and development. - Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and SQL. - Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle. - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). - Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and data structures. - Good knowledge of unit testing frameworks like JUnit or TestNG. - Experience working with microservices architecture is a plus. - Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is desirable (ref:hirist.tech)
