Role Description

- System Design: Develop detailed designs for plumbing and fire fighting systems, including water supply, drainage, vent systems, rainwater harvesting, pump rooms, firefighting systems (sprinklers, standpipes, hydrants, hose reels), and associated equipment.
- Calculations: Perform hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, pressure loss analysis, and equipment selection to ensure system efficiency and code compliance.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including layouts, schematics, technical specifications, and reports in accordance with relevant local and international codes and standards.
- Tender Preparation: Assist in the preparation of tender documentation such as bills of quantities, material specifications, and scope of work for plumbing and fire fighting systems.
- Coordination: Collaborate with architects, clients, and other engineering disciplines to integrate plumbing and fire fighting systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular reviews and quality checks of design deliverables to ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance with project requirements.
- Site Visits: Carry out site inspections as necessary to assess existing conditions, verify installation quality, and ensure adherence to approved designs and specifications.
- Project Management: Manage plumbing and fire fighting design components from concept to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordination Meetings: Participate in interdisciplinary coordination meetings to address technical issues and support smooth project execution.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in MEP Design in commercial and residential buildings, including experience in AutoCAD and REVIT software
- Experience in Project management and MEP coordination
- Thorough understanding of Indian and international codes and standards
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget
