Job Title: Associate Consultant / Consultant – Cardiac Surgery

Reports To: Head – CTVS / Medical Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Surgeon with 3–5 years of post-MCh experience to join our Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery team. The ideal candidate will assist and independently perform a wide range of adult cardiac surgical procedures. Experience or strong interest in Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery (MICS) is a must, as we aim to expand our minimally invasive program.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist senior consultants and perform independently a variety of cardiac surgical procedures including CABG, valve surgeries, and aortic surgeries
- Participate actively in the hospital’s Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery (MICS) program
- Evaluate patients pre-operatively and post-operatively, including critical care follow-up
- Ensure high-quality documentation and compliance with hospital protocols and clinical guidelines
- Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the ICU team for comprehensive patient care
- Attend outpatient clinics, inpatient rounds, and emergency consultations
- Engage in academic activities, case discussions, CMEs, and training of junior staff
- Participate in research and contribute to the advancement of minimally invasive techniques in cardiac surgery

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- M.Ch. in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) from a recognized institution
- 3–5 years of post-MCh experience in a tertiary care hospital or cardiac center
- Proven experience in or strong interest and training in Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery (MICS)
- Exposure to a range of adult cardiac procedures; familiarity with MICS CABG or valve surgeries is preferred
