Senior Release Engineer

Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Release Engineer with Product Security expertise to join our team. This role combines release engineering responsibilities with security-focused DevOps practices and technical documentation management to ensure smooth, secure, and efficient software delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software composition analysis, static code analysis, release management, and technical documentation, along with proficiency in modern tools and platforms. What You'll Do Release Management: - Plan, coordinate, and execute software releases across multiple environments. - Maintain release calendars and dashboards. - Provide regular status reports to stakeholders. - Track and resolve issues impacting release timelines. - Coordinate with development, QA, operations, and business teams to ensure smooth delivery. Product Security Practices - Integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines. - Perform Software Composition Analysis (SCA) using tools like BlackDuck. - Review and interpret Static Code Analysis reports (e.g., CPPcheck, SonarQube) to ensure code quality and security compliance. Bill Of Materials (BOM) - Understand and manage BOM for software products to ensure compliance and traceability. Tool Administration & Reporting - Use Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation. - Administer Jira and Confluence (experience in administration is a plus). - Create dashboards and reports using Power BI for release metrics and security insights. Collaboration & Documentation - Work closely with development, QA, and security teams to ensure smooth release cycles. - Maintain clear documentation of processes, configurations, and compliance reports. Technical Documentation - Help in technical documentation migration and, from time to time, work on product technical documentation. - Use MadCap for creating, migrating, and maintaining technical documentation as required. What You'll Bring - Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. - 810 years of experience in Release Engineering, DevOps, or Product security roles. - Hands-on experience with SCA tools (e.g., BlackDuck). - Strong understanding of Static Code Analysis tools (CPPcheck, SonarQube). - Knowledge of BOM management for software products. - Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and Power BI. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and security integration. - Experience with Madcap, FrameMaker or similar technical documentation authoring tools. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Skills - Jira and Confluence Administration experience. - Exposure to container security and cloud-native security practices Soft Skills - Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
