Job Overview We are looking for a hands-on System & Network Administrator to manage and support Linux servers, firewalls, and network switches in a production environment. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, direct device access, and ownership of infrastructure stability, security, and performance. This position is suited for someone who is comfortable working on CLI-based Linux systems and network devices , handling real-world incidents, and implementing best practices. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu preferred) Perform OS hardening and security configuration aligned with CIS benchmarks Monitor system performance and troubleshoot CPU, memory, disk, and network issues Configure and manage firewalls (FortiGate / Cisco / Palo Alto or similar) Create and maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, and VPN configurations Configure and troubleshoot network switches (Cisco / Huawei / Dell) Manage VLANs, trunk/access ports, and basic routing Troubleshoot network connectivity, latency, and packet loss issues Provide Tier-2 / Tier-3 support for infrastructure incidents Maintain documentation for server builds, firewall rules, and network topology Coordinate with IT, DevOps, and Security teams for infrastructure changes Required Skills & Experience 3–4 years of hands-on experience in system and network administration Strong experience with: Linux servers (Ubuntu) Firewalls (FortiGate / Cisco / Palo Alto) Network switches (Cisco / Huawei / Dell) Solid understanding of: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP VLANs, routing, and NAT Firewall security policies and VPNs Strong troubleshooting skills using CLI tools Preferred (Good to Have) CIS hardening experience Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix SNMP, syslog, NetFlow Bash or Python scripting CCNA / CCNP or equivalent networking knowledge Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical ability Ownership mindset and attention to detail Clear documentation and communication skills
