Insights & Visualization Engineer - Operations

Main Purpose Main Purpose xef x82 xa7 We are seeking a talented Insight Visualization Engineer to join our Data Digitization team In this role you will leverage your expertise in Tableau and Databricks to create insightful visualizations and reports that drive data-driven decision-making within our Retail operations Your work will support our ongoing initiatives to digitize and optimize Retail processes ensuring our Retail team is equipped with the tools and insights needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving digital landscapeKnowledge Skills and Abilities Key Responsibilities Data Analysis Visualization Design develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau to provide actionable insights for Retail teams Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective visual solutions Utilize Databricks for data processing transformation and analysis to support visualization efforts Continuously enhance and optimize existing reports and dashboards to improve clarity efficiency and user experience Data Integration Management Work closely with data engineers to ensure data is accurately extracted transformed and loaded ETL into visualization platforms Integrate and manage data from multiple sources ensuring data quality and consistency across reports and dashboards Develop and implement best practices for data visualization and reporting standards Collaboration Communication Partner with Retail teams to understand their operational needs and provide data-driven insights that support their objectives Present complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Act as a liaison between Retail Operation IT and other departments to ensure alignment on data strategies and solutions Innovation Continuous Improvement Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in data visualization and Retail digitization Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and improve data accessibility across the organization Contribute to the development of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security Other Responsibilities Prepare documents meeting materials and correspondence Oversee the provision of application access maintaining appropriate security and accessibility for users Prepare release documents for the Change Advisory Board CAB and conduct performance testing to ensure new releases meet quality and performance standards Background in data warehouse design to design the best dashboarding solution Deep understanding of Tableau architecture and the capacity to align server performance with evolving business requirements Requirements Proven work experience as a BI developer or similar role Sound knowledge of various BI tools like Tableau Qlikview Power BI etc Efficient communication and Analytical skills Strong hands-on knowledge on SQL Maintain the end-to-end vision of the data flow and develop efficient BI data models Understanding of end-to-end data warehouse solution implementation from extraction to visualization Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude Technical Skills Proven experience with Tableau including advanced dashboard creation data blending and performance optimization Proficient in Databricks for data analysis including knowledge of Spark and SQL Strong understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts Familiarity with Retail data metrics and KPIs with the ability to translate business requirements into data models and visualizations Professional Experience Bachelors degree in Retail Data Science Computer Science or a related field 4 years of experience in data visualization business intelligence or a related role with a focus on Retail operations Experience working in Retail or with Retail data is highly desirable Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Nice-to-Have Experience with other BI tools such as Power BI QlikView or Looker Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and visualization Background in Retail operations understanding the unique challenges and requirements of the Retails domain Key Relationships and Department Overview Internal - Managers across various departments Senior Management Head of Departments in other regional hubs of Puma Energy External - External Consultants
