Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
Sales Management
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue and volume targets.
- Identify sales opportunities, prospect new clients, and manage customer relationships.
- Track sales performance, analyze variances, and drive corrective actions.
Distribution Management
- Identify and onboard new distributors and traders to grow brand presence.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing distributors to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Monitor stock levels and distribution efficiency in both urban and rural markets.
Sales Target Achievement
- Achieve sales targets across key performance indicators such as volume, revenue, and reach.
- Drive market penetration and improve product availability across retail channels.
- Collaborate with Regional/Area Sales Managers for regular reviews and strategy alignment.
Market Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct regular analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences.
- Prepare reports and actionable insights for senior management decision-making.
- Identify market gaps and suggest strategic initiatives for growth.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure timely deliveries and maintain ideal stock levels.
- Monitor distributor inventory to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
Promotions & Marketing Support
- Work with the marketing team to execute local promotional activities and product launches.
- Ensure campaign visibility and effectiveness across the region.
Contract Negotiation
- Assist in negotiating terms with distributors and trade partners in line with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and maximize value for the business.
CRM & Customer Satisfaction
- Handle customer and distributor inquiries or complaints with efficiency.
- Enhance customer satisfaction and retention through timely support and proactive engagement.
Team Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams including sales, marketing, and supply chain for smooth operations.
- Train and support field sales teams on product knowledge, systems, and selling techniques.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Education: Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred
- Experience: 35 years in FMCG sales, especially in distribution and trade management
- Region Knowledge: Familiarity with the Assam and northeastern distribution landscape
- Track Record: Proven ability to achieve targets and manage distributor relationships
