We are currently supporting a fast-growing U.S.-headquartered security software company in their search for a Senior Accountant. This is a remote role based in India, offering exposure to global finance operations and the opportunity to contribute directly to the company’s growth in a high-paced technology environment.

The Senior Accountant will report to the Assistant Controller and play a key role in strengthening financial processes, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiencies within the accounting function.

Key Responsibilities

- Work with the Assistant Controller to develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls.
- Oversee core accounting operations, including treasury, AP, AR, payroll, credit cards, and fixed assets.
- Manage customer and vendor communications regarding account queries, payments, and outstanding balances.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and financial analyses for management, investors, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment, ensuring strong cross-functional communication.
- Leverage tools such as Excel, QuickBooks, Bill.com, Maxio, Navan, and Avalara to manage financial operations.

Candidate Profile

- Chartered Accountant qualification is required.
- 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex financial modeling.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Bill.com, or similar platforms.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to drive process improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Prior experience in a technology or software company is a plus.
