A renowned Catering Company of Abu Dhabi is looking for Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Officer . Qualifications - Graduate or Postgraduate in Science / Food Microbiology / Food Technology or similar from a recognized university. - Graduate and having proven track record over 7 years in Food Safety and Health Safety management system implementation in any large catering and facility management company. - HACCP level 4. - Food Safety Level 4. - NEBOSH IGC. - ISO 9001:2015 / ISO 14001:2015 / ISO 22000:2018 / 45001:2018 internal auditor course. - All Qualifications should be internationally accredited qualifications. - 5+ Years’ experience in Large Catering company. - Experience in UAE hospital minimum 2 years. Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Officer to provide HSEQ support to operating sector/unit and offices to ensure that Legislative – Company – Client HSEQ matters are managed in operation(s) in line with the company’s requirements. About the Role Comply with International, Local, Company and ADOSH - SF requirements. To implement dynamic, effective management systems, enabling effective risk management, monitoring and continues improvement in HSEQ performance to ensure Employee Occupational Health & Safety, Welfare, Food Safety and Environmental management system. Responsibilities - Carry out daily inspections at operational facilities (Receiving / Storage / preparation / service and common facilities) & report any shortfalls identified to relevant department. - Work in remote site(s) if required travel to multiple sites as per business requirements. - Encourage by example HSEQ policies and procedure. - Ensure that all staff have proper HSEQ induction regarding company and site HSEQ policies and procedures. - Ensure appropriate corrective and preventive measures are taken to close all shortfalls identified during audits/inspections etc., coordinating with the relevant departments. - Carry out regular and refresher On the Job Training to all job performers about HSEQ. - Support sustainable implementation of company HSEQ initiatives/programs such as: - - IMS (Integrated Management System) - HACCP (Food Safety Management System) - ADOSH - SF etc. - - Verify all IMS/HACCP records and ensure that all records are up to date. - Ensure self-awareness of statutory requirements. - Incident investigation, reporting and closure. - Take leadership role in mitigating HSEQ emergencies at site. - Together with the site management, ensure staff welfare is as per company policies and procedures. - Ensure Road Safety standards are followed by all vehicles owned/operated on site. - Included in duties, you are required to perform any other reasonable tasks requested by the Head of HSEQ/ HSEQ manager / HSE Supervisor. - Change of Sites (Supervisor/Manager can change the location at any time as per company needs). - Accountable for all safety related matters at site. - Conducting risk assessment and devising and enforcing risk control and management measures. - Ensure all workers in their area are trained & aware on hazards & can perform work safely. - Find gaps and notify induction & other internal & external training requirements to HSEQ Supervisor. - Ensure risk assessment & safe work practices are available and the risk controls & safe practices are followed. - Manage & monitor work in a way as to prevent & control health & safety risk to the maximum level possible. - Conduct regular toolbox talk in their area of responsibility and ensure all relevant OSH information & guidance is provided to all employees and relevant stakeholders. - Coordinate & assist in OSH promotional activities, communication and consultation. - Report unsafe incidents, accidents, near misses or dangerous occurrence & assist in implementation of corrective action. - Conduct incident investigation on the reported incidents in their area. - Regular site visits & inspection on work practices, personnel, equipment and materials. - Assist in compliance reviews, job hazard analyses, general risk assessments and other safety assessments. - Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity; report it & ensure corrective action is implemented. - Included in these duties, you are required to perform any other reasonable tasks requested by the line manager.
