Position Overview We are looking for an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to manage and oversee the day-to-day production activities at our factory located in Moti Bhoyan, Gandhinagar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling production processes, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining high-quality standards, and meeting delivery deadlines. The role requires strong leadership skills, effective labour management, production planning expertise, material dispatch coordination, and the ability to motivate and manage the workforce efficiently. The Production Supervisor will act as a bridge between the management and the shop floor team to ensure productivity, safety, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities 1. Production Planning & Management Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules in coordination with the factory manager. Allocate tasks and responsibilities to production staff for smooth workflow. Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials. Monitor production processes to achieve planned output within set deadlines. Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve productivity. 2. Labour & Team Management Supervise, guide, and motivate shop-floor workers and machine operators. Manage shift scheduling, attendance, and allocation of tasks. Address workers’ grievances and resolve conflicts effectively. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate production targets and expectations. Ensure a positive, disciplined, and safe working environment. 3. Quality Control & Process Improvement Ensure that all products are manufactured as per quality standards and specifications. Conduct random quality checks during different stages of production. Coordinate with the quality assurance team to implement corrective actions. Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Ensure minimal wastage and better utilization of resources. 4. Material Management & Dispatch Coordinate with the stores and purchase department for timely availability of raw materials. Monitor material consumption to reduce wastage and control costs. Oversee the packaging, labeling, and dispatch of finished goods. Prepare dispatch schedules and ensure timely delivery to clients. Maintain accurate records of incoming materials and outgoing shipments. 5. Coordination with Other Departments Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure machines are in proper working condition. Collaborate with the logistics and warehouse teams for smooth material handling. Coordinate with the HR department for labour recruitment and training. Report daily production status and operational challenges to the management. 6. Safety & Compliance Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols on the shop floor. Train workers on safety practices and proper machine-handling techniques. Ensure compliance with factory laws, labour regulations, and environmental policies. Regularly inspect equipment and workplace conditions to maintain a hazard-free environment. 7. Reporting & Documentation Maintain daily production reports, material usage records, and labour attendance. Submit weekly and monthly production summaries to the factory manager. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, downtime, and wastage. Prepare incident reports, quality reports, and dispatch records as needed. Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and control. Understanding of manufacturing processes, tools, and machinery. Familiarity with quality control techniques and standard operating procedures. Proficiency in maintaining production-related documentation and reports.
