AI/ML Developer

Location: Bangalore 2- 3 years Experience preferred. Company: Watch Your Health About the Role WYH is building intelligent health solutions that power health assessments and exercise evaluations. We are looking for an AI/ML Developer with 2–3 years of experience who is excited to work on real-world healthcare problems, experiment rapidly, and contribute to the AI models powering our SaMD assessment platform. In this role, you will: - Work directly with the product and engineering leads on core AI features. - - Apply practical AI/ML techniques to improve detection, tracking, and assessment algorithms. - - Help build data pipelines, experiment frameworks, and deploy ML models at scale. - - Contribute to the future of AI-driven physiotherapy and digital health. - Key Responsibilities1. Model Development & Experimentation - Develop and refine ML models for face, tongue, and movement-based exercise recognition. - - Work with CV/NLP/LLM components as required—classification, detection, tracking, embeddings, or lightweight reasoning systems. - - Evaluate models using real-world physiotherapy data and improve performance across devices (including low-end Android). - 2. Data Engineering & Pipeline Management - Clean, preprocess, and structure datasets for training and evaluation. - - Work with image/video datasets, sensor data, and annotation workflows. - - Build automated scripts for dataset generation, augmentation, and validation. - 3. AI Agent & Workflow Integrations - Contribute to modular AI agents powering guidance, feedback, or conversational layers. - - Basic understanding of RAG, embeddings, tool usage, or agent frameworks. - 4. Deployment & Performance Optimization - Package and deploy ML models (on-device or cloud). - - Optimize model performance—latency, size, inference speed. - - Work with engineering team to integrate models into Flutter/Android/iOS applications. - 5. Backend Development - Build and maintain backend APIs that power ML inference, assessment workflows, and reporting pipelines. - - Implement model-serving endpoints using Python (FastAPI preferred). - - Work with Firebase/GCP services for data storage, real-time syncing, and function triggers. - - Collaborate with mobile teams to integrate backend and model outputs into the app. - - Ensure backend reliability, performance, and scalability. - Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML, or related field. - - 2–3 years of hands-on experience in ML/AI development. - - Solid understanding of ML fundamentals (classification, regression, CV basics, evaluation metrics). - - Practical experience with Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow, OpenCV, NumPy, Pandas. - - Familiarity with training ML models on real datasets. - - Knowledge of deploying models using APIs or lightweight runtime environments. - - Basic understanding of cloud platforms (preferably GCP, optionally AWS/Azure). - - Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development. - Good to Have (Bonus Skills) - Experience with on-device ML, TFLite, CoreML, or model quantization. - - Exposure to LLMs, embeddings, RAG, or conversational AI agents. - - Knowledge of physiotherapy, healthcare AI, or biometric systems. - - Familiarity with MLOps tools like Docker, FastAPI, model registries, or monitoring tools. - - Experience working in a startup or fast-paced product environment. - Why Join Watch Your Health? - Work on meaningful tech impacting healthcare outcomes. - - Build state-of-the-art AI models for real-world health assessment applications. - - Ownership, autonomy, and direct impact from day one. - - Opportunity to grow with a fast-scaling healthtech startup. -
