Software Development Engineer 4

Summary of the Role

We're looking for a Java Developer with practical experience in Java (Spring Boot), microservices, and event-driven architectures. You'll guide a team of developers, contribute to solution design, support code quality, and help shape architectural decisions that promote scalability, resilience, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Guide the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-quality microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Contribute to event-driven systems using Apache Kafka or similar technologies.
- Work with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases to support efficient data modeling and performance.
- Participate in solution design studies, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and technology evaluations.
- Promote coding standards, conduct code reviews, and share best practices.

About the Ideal Candidate

- Good programming skills in Java, with practical experience in Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and implementing microservice-based systems.
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka in production environments.
- Knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL technologies.
- Understanding of event-driven systems, messaging patterns, and RESTful APIs.

Additional Experience (Helpful but not Required)

- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, ELK, or Grafana.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
