Job Description ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE TITLE:Sr. Manager Quality BUSINESS: Allweiler India Pvt. Ltd. LOCATION: Daman DIRECT REPORTING: Sr. Director Operations FUNCTIONAL REPORTING: Sr. Director Operations Position Summary The candidate position is for Manager Quality should having through knowledge of quality functions a of quality department. He should be a key driver for quality improvement. He will collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders on daily basis. He will take the lead in managing the Quality program, processes, and organization at the Daman site for the assigned business line. Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for the entire gamut of quality including product, process, systems, Supplier Quality, Incoming, in process & final quality, & Customer Quality. 2. As a management coordinator for ISO-9001-2015, 14001, 45001 IMS, ensure implementation and sustenance throughout the organization. 3. Responsible for various Product Certification like CE/ATEX/BIS, Russian Certification, marine certification of Pumps. 4. Monitoring of customer complaints, their resolution with concern department, implementation & sustain of corrective /preventive actions. Taking initiatives on product quality improvement & reduction in customer complaints. 5. Process & product documentation for project orders 6. Transition from quality control to quality assurance 7. Support on-time delivery with timely completion of QA document packages, making of quality plan(QAP) for navy orders & review theQAP as per customer requirements for project/ETO orders and give input to sales, Application Engineering/Sales. 8. Key member of the Cross Functional Team called DPM group responsible for minimizing performance bottlenecks by identifying loopholes if any and undertaking result-oriented measures for resolution. 9. Upgradation of Suppliers by continuous feedback, training, audit ,guidance, monitoring & review so they can meet quality standard and specification of organization 10. Evaluate new suppliers that will leads to consistent and reliable vendor base of purchasing. 11. Assist for new customer approval, documentation, resolution of customer queries. 12. Conduct training to various functions for quality improvement. 13. COPQ capturing process to be established. 14. Responsible for making MIS report related to COPQ ,Quality PPM, Internal Scrap, Warranty Claim on monthly basis and timely Updating in COS board. 15. Conducting Training Programs for staff, shop floor personnel and supplier on Quality awareness, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Knowledge & Abilities - Must have leadership ability, capacity for strategic thinking, ability to foster innovation, time management skills, and unquestionable integrity. - Six Sigma and / or Lean experience, and root cause corrective action training. Formal training in the Toyota Production System/Lean Manufacturing is a plus. - Should be well versed in all types of manufacturing processes like casting, fabrication, machining, rolling, forging, heat treatment etc. - Knowledge in different Material Grades like ASME, ASTM, IS, ISO, DIN & their properties. - Should have professional communication skills, required for communicating with external agencies & interdepartmental teams. Education & Experience - Experience as a quality manager in a manufacturing / industrial setting, with a minimum of 10 years experience with leading a team of significant size. - Experience in quality excellence, ISO Audit, Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing experience preferred. - Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and prioritization skills. - Prefer if candidates having knowledge of pump industry and dealt with oil & gas, defence, marine customers. - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 15-18 years or diploma in mechanical with 15-20 years.
