Job Description Cybersecurity Engineer 332 Role Overview The candidate will independently develop high-quality, error-free code, provide technical guidance to junior developers, and assist in module-level design and implementation. The role involves working on cybersecurity, network automation, and system vulnerability management across Windows and Linux platforms. Key Responsibilities Software Development & Configuration: - Develop code independently and ensure adherence to coding standards. - Implement and monitor configuration processes. - Design and implement low-level design (LLD) for multiple components. Testing & Quality Assurance - Create and review unit test cases, scenarios, and execution results. - Perform defect root cause analysis (RCA) and mitigation. - Ensure high levels of cohesion, quality, and adherence to project standards. Project & Knowledge Management - Manage module-level activities and estimate effort, resources, and timelines. - Document own work and review peer documentation. - Consume and contribute to project-related knowledge libraries and repositories. - Report task status and comply with project reporting standards/processes. Mentoring & Team Collaboration - Mentor junior developers, set goals, and provide feedback. - Proactively collaborate with team members and communicate effectively. - Explain and communicate design and development outcomes to stakeholders. Cybersecurity & Network Responsibilities - Assess and remediate vulnerabilities on Windows and Linux systems using automation tools. - Manage network products and protocols including OSPF, BGP, DNS, DHCP, Layer 2, Layer 3. - Work with ticketing software, monitor lab resources, and generate reports for management. - Perform automation and scripting using PowerShell and Bash. - Work in virtualized environments (VMware). - Implement automation using Ansible/AAP/OLAM, create playbooks for patching, installation, and reporting. - Use Git for version control and automation workflows. - Use tools such as PDQ for Windows inventory and patching. - Troubleshoot automation flows and optimize system performance. Required Skills / Competencies - Vulnerability Assessment and Management - Cybersecurity Principles and Practices - DNS Configuration and Troubleshooting - Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems - Network Routing & Switching (CCNP/RS or JNCIP equivalent experience preferred) - Scripting & Automation: PowerShell, Bash, Ansible - Familiarity with virtualized environments (VMware) - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Strong written and verbal communication Skills: adherence,ansible,windows,linux,design,project,bash,cybersecurity,management,automation
