Job Description

We are looking for a QA Test Engineer with 4-8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Core Java, object-oriented design, and hands-on Java coding skills. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment, participating in all agile ceremonies, and collaborating with teams to ensure testing and QA are integrated into the development process.

Key responsibilities include estimating test automation efforts, communicating defects, and verifying fixes. You will also work with GIT for source code revision control, Maven/Gradle for build tools, and demonstrate expertise in SQL and JDBC. Strong debugging, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage priorities are essential for success in this role. Strong communication skills are required to effectively work with cross-functional teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- 4 - 8 years of experience in Java Development
- Strong understanding of Core Java & object-oriented design and development.
- Must be strong hands-on with Java coding skills.
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in working with the teams in a fast paced environment
- Scope and estimate the test automation effort for user stories.
- Participate in all agile ceremonies (standups, planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives) ensuring QA and testing is continual represented and effectively incorporated into all aspects of the project.
- Communicate defects and verify fixes within each increment.
- Experience with source code revision control systems like GIT.
- Experience with build tools like Maven, Gradle.
- Expertise in SQL and JDBC
- Excellent debugging skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage priorities, set expectations and get things done.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 4-8 years of experience in Java Development.
- Strong understanding of Core Java and object-oriented design.
- Hands-on Java coding skills.
- Experience in Agile environments and participation in Agile ceremonies.
- Expertise in SQL and JDBC.
- Experience with source code revision control (e.g., GIT).

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with test automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG).
