How You Will Contribute

We are looking for Software Engineers to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of high-quality, robust, and scalable software components for Ciena&aposs routing platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of routing protocols, hands-on software development experience, and the ability to drive technical solutions in a fast-paced environment.

The Must Haves

A minimum of Bachelors/masters degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent degree with 5+ Year of relevant experience.

- Excellent analytical, problem solving and programming skills (C, C++, Python)
- In-depth understanding of Linux OS and open-source software development.
- Experience in designing and developing L2/L3 networking technologies.
- Familiarity with manageability frameworks such as Yang/XML.
- Proficiency in using the Atlassian tool suite, Git, and Jenkins.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Openness to continuous learning and self-improvement.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.

Assets

Good in-depth understanding and hands-on experience with one or more of the following protocols:

- MPLS(RSVP-TE, LDP)/ISIS , BGP and other dynamic routing protocols.
