Job Description: ob Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ETL DataStage Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL workflows using IBM DataStage, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality data integration solutions in complex environments. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement ETL solutions using IBM DataStage to support business intelligence and data warehousing initiatives. - Analyze source data and develop DataStage jobs for data extraction, transformation, and loading. - Optimize performance of DataStage jobs and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability and scalability. - Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Maintain and enhance existing DataStage jobs, ensuring data quality and adherence to best practices. - Develop documentation for ETL processes, data mappings, and workflows. - Implement data validation, error handling, and logging mechanisms. - Work within a team environment following Agile or Scrum methodologies. - Stay updated with the latest DataStage features and industry trends related to data integration. Required Skills and Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in ETL development, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience using IBM DataStage. - Strong understanding of DataStage components, including job design, sequences, and parallel processing. - Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for data manipulation and querying. - Experience with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling. - Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2. - Good understanding of data quality, data governance, and data security principles. - Experience working with large datasets and performance tuning. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with other ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, etc.) is a plus. - Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting. - Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Certification in DataStage or related data management certifications. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
