Senior Frontend Engineer (Homebased) Remote | New Zealand Client | 1:30 AM IST Start Time What You'll Do As a senior engineer, you'll shape frontend architecture, elevate engineering standards, and ship experiences that directly influence high-stakes business decisions. - Own & evolve the design system: Expand Storybook components, maintain visual consistency, and publish versioned UI packages. - Architect for scale: Lead React + TypeScript patterns, author ADRs, sequence diagrams, and technical documentation. - Enhance developer experience: Automate visual regression (Chromatic), improve Cypress test suites, and optimize CI/CD workflows. - Raise the engineering bar: Pair program, mentor peers, and champion best practices in code quality and architecture. - Shape product direction: Work closely with Product and Design, understand user needs, and ship impactful features. - Work AI-first: Use tools like Cursor, CodeRabbit, and Windsurf to accelerate development without sacrificing maintainability. Must-Have Qualifications - 5+ years of frontend engineering experience - React Advanced - TypeScript Advanced - Strong design system experience (Storybook, Figma, component libraries, theming) - Testing expertise with Cypress, Chromatic, and/or Vitest - Proven performance optimization experience (Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, profiling) - Modern tooling: Vite, GitHub Actions, ESLint/Prettier - Strong CS fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, architecture patterns) - Strong architecture & documentation skills (ADRs, diagrams, specs) - Excellent communication and code-review quality Nice-to-Have Qualifications - Backend experience with Python + FastAPI - SQL data modeling (PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, SQLModel) - Cloud deployment experience (GCP preferred) Cloud Run, Cloud SQL - Experience with modern auth systems (Auth0, Okta) - Experience integrating AI/ML workflows into production systems What we Offer - Health Insurance: We provide medical coverage up to 20 lakh per annum, which covers you, your spouse, and a set of parents.
