We are seeking a highly skilled US Mortgage Underwriting Analyst to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and underwriting mortgage loans in accordance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2-6 years of experience in US mortgage underwriting and a strong understanding of underwriting guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

- Analyze and underwrite mortgage loan applications in accordance with company policies and guidelines
- Evaluate borrower's creditworthiness, income, and assets to determine loan eligibility
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulations, and investor requirements
- Review and analyze documentation such as income, assets, credit reports, and property appraisals
- Communicate underwriting decisions to loan processors and loan officers
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers

Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field
- Minimum of 2-6 years of experience in US mortgage underwriting
- Strong understanding of underwriting guidelines and regulations
- Knowledge of FHA, VA, and conventional loan programs
- Ability to analyze complex financial documents and make sound decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and mortgage underwriting software
