Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced and proactive Enrolled Agent (EA) to join our growing team. This individual will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax services to our clients and supporting our mission to provide efficient, accurate, and timely tax solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote work environment, demonstrates deep tax knowledge, and has a client-first mindset. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. - Represent clients before the IRS in audits, collections, and appeals. - Assist with tax planning strategies throughout the year to minimize liabilities and enhance compliance. - Provide technical support and guidance to accounting teams and clients on tax matters. - Analyze financial records and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, maintaining a high standard of professionalism. - Keep up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and proactive planning. Requirements: - Active Enrolled Agent (EA) credential with the IRS. - Minimum [X years] of tax preparation and representation experience (public accounting experience preferred). - Strong understanding of U.S. federal and state tax codes. - Experience with major tax software (e.g., UltraTax, Lacerte, Drake, ProSeries). - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other common office tools. - Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting. - Strong communication and client service skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with U.S.-based CPA firms or in a BPO/outsourcing model. - Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero. - Exposure to international tax issues or multi-state tax filings is a plus.
