Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Underwriter located in Mumbai. The Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating insurance applications and determining coverage terms and premiums. Day-to-day tasks include assessing risk, reviewing applications, gathering and analyzing data, making recommendations, and preparing insurance policies. The Underwriter will work closely with clients, brokers, and internal team members to ensure accurate and fair underwriting practices. Qualifications - Risk assessment and analytical skills - Experience in reviewing and underwriting insurance applications - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance principles - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field - At least 3 years of underwriting experience in the insurance industry - Proficiency in using underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite - Professional certifications such as CPCU or equivalent are a plus
