2. PAUT / TOFD Inspector Job Description We are seeking a skilled PAUT/TOFD Inspector to perform advanced ultrasonic inspections on offshore oil & gas fabrication projects. The role involves executing inspections on modular structures, interpreting results, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. Key Responsibilities - Perform PAUT and TOFD inspections on structural welds, piping welds, and critical joints. - Set up equipment, calibrate probes, and prepare scanning plans as per approved procedures. - Interpret scan data and prepare detailed and accurate inspection reports. - Follow project ITPs, WPS/PQR requirements, and NDT procedures strictly. - Coordinate with production, QC, and client inspectors for weld clearances and inspection approvals. - Identify defects, highlight potential welding issues, and recommend corrective actions. - Maintain equipment, consumables, and ensure proper documentation and traceability. Required Qualifications & Skills - NDT Level II or III in PAUT & TOFD (ASNT / PCN / ISO 9712). - 4–10 years experience in offshore oil & gas fabrication yard NDT inspections. - Strong experience in modular structures, topsides, jackets, bridges, flare booms, or heavy offshore fabrications. - Ability to interpret drawings, weld maps, and NDT plans. - Good knowledge of acceptance criteria as per ASME, AWS, API, DNV, ISO standards.
