Job Title: Audio and Video Engineer Location: Dayananda Sagar University – Main Campus Department: Information Technology Role Overview: The Audio and Video Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, operating, and maintaining audio-visual (AV) systems to support events, classrooms, and digital content production. This role ensures high-quality sound and video experiences across live events, recordings, and streaming platforms. Key Responsibilities: • Install, configure, and maintain AV equipment including microphones, speakers, mixers, cameras, projectors, and video conferencing systems. • Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance of AV systems. • Provide technical support for live events, webinars, and conferences. • Manage audio mixing, video switching, and live streaming during events. • Record, edit, and produce high-quality audio and video content for internal and external use. • Ensure proper lighting, sound levels, and video framing during shoots. • Diagnose and resolve AV system issues promptly. • Coordinate with vendors for repairs and upgrades. • Maintain inventory and documentation of AV equipment. • Train staff on proper use of AV systems. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Media Technology, or related field. • Proven experience in AV system setup and operation. • Proficiency with audio mixers, video switchers, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Audacity). Knowledge of video conferencing platforms (Zoom, MS Teams) and streaming technologies. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Certifications in AV technology (e.g., CTS – Certified Technology Specialist). • Experience with live sound engineering and multi-camera setups. • Familiarity with networked AV systems and IP-based streaming.
