best - selves at work because trust respect and integrity are a part of our DNA At Pratt Whitney the difference you make is on display every day Just look up Are you ready to go beyond Pratt Whitney is a seeking a Senior Project Engineer P3 to work at our India Engineering Center campus in Bengaluru India The successful candidate will join the Compression Systems Engineering Project team to provide production and field support for our operational commercial engine Fan Low Pressure Compressor and High Pressure Compressor components This includes airfoils rotors shafts cases seals and actuation linkage systems GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB PURPOSE This position is for a Project Engineering professional working with limited support Supports the development of project plans schedules and budgets tracks progress resolves problems develops solutions and forecasts project revenue Coordinates with other functional organizations Identifies and addresses project problems analyzes data gathered and develops solutions and recommendations to solve problems meet deadlines and optimize performance JOB ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES OR TASKS Supports the development of project plans schedules and budgets Tracks progress identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations Supports in the preparation of status and technical content to CIPT and upper Pratt Whitney management Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work Work closely with IPT members and authorities on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements Supports Class 1 and Class 2 engineering change execution Maintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project s to track progress and ensure that established targets are met Support in the execution of risks assessments and mitigation plans Identifies and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects Facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives OTHER MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES OR TASKS Attend and have participation in group meetings teleconferences and or training required Actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using ACE tools and support AS9100 efforts Based on business needs the incumbent may be required to support other duties functions within the company Support project management activities Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering 4 years of project engineering experience or 2 years with an advance degree Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Experience working in the Aerospace Industry Previous gas turbine experience Working proficiency with MS Office Teamcenter SAP MS Project or other scheduling software The ability to craft clear communication and build positive relationships Experience with Microsoft Office applications Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong interpersonal skills Excellent at promoting teamwork Additional Requirements Travel up to 10 In addition to transforming the future of flight we are also transforming how and where we work Weve introduced role types to help you understand how you will operate in our blended work environment This role is Hybrid Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process For onsite and hybrid roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility RTX adheres to the principles of equal employment All qualified applications will be given careful consideration without regard to ethnicity color religion gender sexual orientation or identity national origin age disability protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law Privacy Policy and Terms Click on this to read the Policy and Terms
