Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Puppet Fabricator. The Puppet Fabricator will be responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining puppets for various shows and productions on OwelekeTV. Day-to-day tasks include working with creative teams to conceptualize puppet designs, sourcing materials, constructing puppets, and performing maintenance and repairs as needed. The Puppet Fabricator will collaborate closely with directors, writers, and performers to ensure puppets meet production needs and enhance storytelling quality.
Qualifications
- Puppet design and fabrication skills, including selection of appropriate materials, construction techniques, and creative problem-solving.
- Experience in puppet maintenance and repair.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with creative teams and production staff.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Relevant experience in the media, entertainment, or related industry is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with various puppet styles, including hand puppets, marionettes, and animatronic puppets, would be beneficial.
- Bachelor's degree or relevant coursework in puppetry, theater arts, or a related field is a plus.
