About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer with expertise in Selenium/Cypress to join our dynamic team. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, writing efficient test scripts, performing automation and manual testing, executing automated tests, and identifying and resolving any issues that arise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation, proficiency in Selenium/Cypress and Java/Python/C#/Javascript, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Core Responsibilities

- Design and develop efficient, scalable, and maintainable automated test scripts using Selenium/Cypress and Java/Python/C#/Javascript.
- Collaborate with software development teams to understand project requirements and develop appropriate automation strategies.
- Conduct thorough analysis of software applications and identify areas for automation.
- Execute automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and debug test failures and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
- Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to test automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize test cases for automation.
- Develop and maintain test data and test environments necessary for test execution.
- Monitor and report test results, metrics, and defects to ensure timely and accurate feedback to the development team.
- Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and best practices.

Required Skills

- 2 to 6 years of proven work experience as an Automation Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver/Cypress and Java/Python/C#/Javascript programming.
- In-depth understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and practices.
- Solid knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and tools

Qualifications

- B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, MCA or related field.
- Experience with other test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Cucumber, TestNG, TestCafe, Playwright).
- Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Knowledge of database systems and SQL.
- Certifications related to software testing and test automation.
