Sr Electrical Engineer - Solar Project Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee the electrical design installation testing and commissioning of a solar power project The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards optimizing system efficiency and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution Key Responsibilities 1 Electrical Design Engineering Design electrical layouts single-line diagrams SLDs and system architecture for solar power plants Perform load flow short-circuit and protection coordination studies Design and size transformers inverters switchgear cables and grounding systems Ensure compliance with national and international electrical codes IEC NEC CEA etc 2 Project Execution Installation Supervise the installation of electrical components such as inverters transformers switchgear SCADA and protection systems Ensure quality control during procurement and installation Coordinate with the civil and mechanical teams to ensure smooth execution of electrical works Oversee electrical cabling earthing and lightning protection system installations 3 Testing Commissioning Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests on electrical equipment Troubleshoot and rectify any electrical issues during testing Ensure the grid synchronization of the solar power plant 4 Compliance Documentation Ensure adherence to local electrical safety and environmental regulations Prepare and maintain all project-related documentation including test reports drawings and as-built reports Coordinate with government agencies DISCOMs and EPC contractors for approvals Key Skills Qualifications Education B E B Tech in Electrical Engineering Experience Experience in solar power plant design installation or commissioning Strong knowledge of power system design protection and control systems Familiarity with solar inverters switchgear SCADA and grid interconnection requirements Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication and team coordination abilities
