About the role: As a Senior Software Engineer Credit at FalconX, you'll design and build the systems that power institutional credit across our trading, lending, and settlement platforms. You'll work on high-performance backend services that handle billions in transactions, enable real-time risk management, and support FalconX's global liquidity engine. This role blends deep engineering with financial logic, ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex systems problems in a fast-moving, high-impact fintech environment Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and enhance FalconX's proprietary credit management systems, infrastructure, data, and processes - Architect and build scalable, robust, high-performance credit solutions for institutional clients and internal teams. - Work with cross-functional teams (product, platform, frontend & data) to build end-to-end solutions driving the credit business. - Build transactional, high performance systems at scale, with the ability to diagnose and prevent performance issues. - Write well tested readable code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices. - Work with junior team members to break down tasks, assist with technical problem-solving and help unblock them when needed. - Advocate for improvements in product quality, security, and performance that have particular impact across your team. - Help define and improve internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review. Job requirements - At Least 5 years of experience working in software development with minimum 2 years of working experience in Python or any other object oriented programming language. - Domain knowledge in institutional financial services, lending and borrowing products. - Familiarity with modern web technologies like AWS cloud, MySQL database, Redis caching, messaging tools like Kafka/SQS, Kubernetes etc and good understanding of trade-offs with one technology vs another. - Have a good understanding of object oriented design patterns to make sure the codebase is maintainable and extensible. - Have a good understanding of operating systems concepts like multi-threading, multi-processing - Comfort working in a highly agile, intensively iterative software development process. - Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions - Demonstrated ability to onboard and integrate with an organization long-term.
