Job Description Summary: We are seeking an experienced (IT Quant) Developer on a contract basis with a strong background in C++ and Bitbucket. The primary goal of this role is to leverage advanced software development skills to support and enhance the functionality of software libraries, ensuring high performance and reliability in a financial services context. Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain robust software libraries. - Refactor existing code to improve performance and maintainability. - Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with best practices in software development. - Document code changes and provide support for library users. - Contribute to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Must Haves: - Proficient in C++ - Experience with Bitbucket - 10+ years of experience in software development - Demonstrable experience in library refactoring and maintenance projects Nice to Haves: - Experience in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector Other Details: - Location: Natixis Office, Bangalore - Contract Duration: 6 months to 1 year - Work Hours: Standard business hours (9:00 AM 6:00 PM), no shifts Reason (Must Have): - C++: Essential for developing and maintaining high-performance applications that meet rigorous standards. - Bitbucket: Necessary for version control, enabling effective collaboration and management of code changes. - 10+ years experience: Required to ensure adequate oversight and expertise in complex software development tasks. - Library refactoring experience: Vital for improving and optimizing existing code bases, which directly impacts software reliability.
