Position: Assistant Manager Regulatory (Private Label Business) Function: Regulatory & Compliance Location: Bangalore Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager Regulatory to join our Private Label Business team. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all products, labels, websites, and marketing content comply with applicable regulatory standards (FSSAI, Legal Metrology, FDA, BIS, and other relevant regulations). The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Brand, Marketing, Packaging, Quality, and Legal teams. Roles & Responsibilities - Ensure regulatory compliance of all Private Label food and non-food products in line with FSSAI, Legal Metrology, BIS, CPCB, FDA, and other statutory requirements. - Review and approve artworks, labels, and packaging to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and category-specific mandates. - Work closely with Brand & Marketing teams on product artworks and labels to ensure content complies with FSSAI, Legal Metrology (LM), FDA, BIS, and other relevant regulations. - Ensure website compliance for product information, claims, images, and declarations, in line with applicable regulations and e-commerce guidelines. - Liaise with internal teams (Quality, Marketing, Packaging, Category, Legal, Tech) and external stakeholders (labs, consultants, certification bodies) to ensure smooth regulatory approvals. - Track regulatory changes and provide timely updates, impact assessment, and implementation plans for ongoing and upcoming products. - Manage licenses, registrations, and renewals (FSSAI, Legal Metrology, Importer License, BIS, EPR/CPCB, etc.) across product categories. - Ensure claims substantiation and validation of product claims with proper documentation, lab tests, or certifications. - Handle regulatory documentation for product launches, imports, and new categories. - Conduct regulatory risk assessments for new products or processes. - Support cross-functional teams during internal/external audits and regulatory inspections. - Train internal stakeholders and suppliers on regulatory requirements and updates to ensure compliance culture across Private Label business. - Benchmark competitor products for regulatory positioning, labelling, claims, and online representation.
