Responsibilities We are looking for talented and ambitious individuals to join our Finance rotational development program this summer known as our FinStart Program Our 2-year training and development program will equip you with the knowledge and skills to take on real responsibility in our demanding environment allowing you to grow your skillset and Finastras business objectives at the same time Heres what you can expect An introduction to Finastra that will provide an overview of the structure of our company the way we do things and many of the people youll be working with Exposure across multiple areas of Finance and AccountingOn the job activities that include comprehensive role-specific training as well as the development of your xe2x80x98soft skills Exposure to the main business functions associated with your role including rotations to various functions within Finastra s Finance function to gain an understanding of the business as a whole Rotations may include will begin in Product Technology Finance Sales Finance Financial Planning Analysis Accounting Accounts Payable Receivable or Procurement What will you contributeBuild financial models run scenario analysis and provide data analytics to identify areas of risk and opportunity within the businessPrepare financial reporting for weekly monthly or quarterly close requirements with analysis of key drivers providing business performance assessment and ideas for improvementsLeverage data to summarize analyze and recommend in order to influence decision makingContinuous process improvement leverage market best practices standardization and automationEngage with business partners both within Finance as well as other areas of the organization collaborating to achieve shared goals and objectivesComplete special projects that will be presented to executive leadershipRequired Skills and Experience ExperienceDegree or equivalent experience knowledge in Finance or Accounting and anticipated graduation of May 2025Interest in software technology sectorGood mathematical and PC skills Excel proficiencyPrior internships or experience working in an office environment preferredCompetenciesPositive attitude with a desire to learn and growStrong verbal and written communication skillsFlexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentQuick learner with a desire to put academic theories into practiceDemonstrated problem solving and analytical skillsStrong attention to detailStrong work ethic and deadline drivenTeam playerSelf-starter ability to work in a virtual environment
