Role Description

Camera Operations:

Operate multiple cameras via PTZ controller, create presets, and actively frame visually dynamic shots.

Cut cameras creatively for live events, ensuring the final broadcast is visually engaging.

Shade and color cameras using scopes and charts, interpret exposure levels, and maintain optimal video quality.

Video Production & Engineering:

Operate video switchers/vision mixers in a live event setting, switching between multiple video feeds seamlessly.

Manage and configure Blackmagic video equipment and VMIX virtual studio systems.

Oversee video capture codecs, compression, and color spaces to ensure a high-quality output.

Act as a Director of Photography when needed to ensure proper lighting is set up and maintained.

Take on cinematography duties as required, including operating digital roaming cameras for B-roll or candid interviews.

Technical Troubleshooting & Support:

Provide technical support for video capture software, digital recording technologies, and Zoom for broadcast/recording.

Troubleshoot video-related technical issues efficiently in a live environment, ensuring minimal downtime.

Ensure that video workflows are executed smoothly from pre-production to the final event broadcast.

Client Interaction & Event Coordination:

Interface with clients in a professional manner, ensuring their expectations are met.

Take direction from the show caller and adjust accordingly during the live broadcast.

Communicate effectively with team members and management, ensuring smooth event execution.

Team Collaboration & Shift Flexibility:

Work collaboratively with other engineers, directors, and production staff to deliver exceptional live event experiences.

Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, representing the company positively in all client interactions.

Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum 10 years of experience as a video operator for switchers/vision mixers in live event production.

Strong technical knowledge of video production systems, including Blackmagic and VMIX virtual studio systems.

Expertise in color grading, shading, and exposure interpretation using video scopes and charts.

Ability to work with PTZ cameras, setting up presets and framing shots effectively.

Proficiency in video capture codecs, compression methods, and understanding color space.

Working knowledge of Zoom broadcasting and recording capabilities.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.

Ability to maintain a professional appearance and positive client relations at all times.

Must be able to make quick, sound decisions during high-pressure situations and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
