Job Title: Principal – HP College of Education 📍 Location: Kala Amb, Himachal Pradesh 🏛 Institution: HP College of Education, under the Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions (HGPI) 🕒 Type: Full-Time | On-Campus | Senior Leadership Role About HP College of Education HP College of Education, a constituent institution of the Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions (HGPI), Kala Amb (Himachal Pradesh), is affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college is dedicated to preparing competent, ethical, and innovative educators through its B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. programs. We emphasize a learner-centric environment, continuous professional development, and community-based teaching practice. We invite applications from qualified and experienced academicians for the position of Principal, who will lead the institution’s academic and administrative functions in alignment with NCTE and University norms. Eligibility Criteria (As per NCTE & UGC Regulations) Educational Qualifications: - Master’s Degree (M.Ed.) with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade). - Ph.D. Degree in Education or in any allied discipline relevant to education. - B.Ed. degree is essential. Experience: - At least 15 years of teaching experience in a Department/College of Education. - Out of the total experience, a minimum of 5 years in an administrative or leadership role (as Principal, HoD, or equivalent). - Record of academic leadership, research publications, and participation in seminars/workshops at national or international level. Other Desirable Requirements: - Familiarity with NCTE, UGC, and University regulations. - Experience with NAAC accreditation, IQAC processes, and academic audits. - Strong communication and leadership skills to guide faculty and students. Key Responsibilities - Provide academic, strategic, and administrative leadership to ensure institutional excellence. - Ensure compliance with NCTE, UGC, and HPU academic and regulatory requirements. - Supervise curriculum delivery, teacher education practicum, and academic assessments. - Lead initiatives for faculty development, research promotion, and innovation in pedagogy. - Coordinate academic planning, admissions, examinations, and student services. - Represent the college in academic councils, boards, and affiliating university meetings. - Drive NAAC accreditation and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
