We are seeking a Safety Officer - Electrical to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of electrical operations, conducting safety inspections, and providing training to employees on electrical safety practices. The role demands a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

- Conduct safety inspections and audits on electrical installations and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures related to electrical work.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on electrical safety practices and protocols.
- Investigate incidents and accidents related to electrical safety and prepare reports with findings and recommendations.
- Monitor and assess the safety performance of the electrical team and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to workplace safety.

Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a safety officer role, preferably in the electrical sector.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Certification in safety management or occupational health and safety (such as NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and inform staff.
- Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
