Head of Sourcing

Job Description Overview We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to direct our Strategic Sourcing Services business. This position reports directly to the Head of IoT DE, and holds responsibility for the overall delivery of Strategic Sourcing programs to our global clientele. The selected candidate will oversee all aspects of Strategic Sourcing Service line including program execution for our customers, manage profit and loss, drive revenue growth, and uphold operational excellence across teams. Our Strategic Sourcing practice enables global enterprises to optimize their supply chains, sourcing operations, and supplier ecosystems by leveraging engineering expertise, analytics, and digital technologies. The selected candidate will oversee all aspects of Strategic Sourcing program execution for international customers, manage profit and loss, drive revenue growth, and uphold operational excellence across teams. Additionally, the selected candidate will be responsible for building differentiated offerings, positioning the organization as a market leader in strategic sourcing, both internally and externally with the market. Key Responsibilities - Define the vision, roadmap, and growth strategy for the Strategic Sourcing service line. - Develop offerings in sourcing strategy, category management, supplier development, cost engineering, should-costing, and procurement transformation. - Align sourcing initiatives with the company's overall business objectives and go-to-market plans. - Drive revenue growth through new client acquisition and account expansion. - Partner with the sales team to create go-to-market collaterals, proposals, and commercial models. - Engage with CXOs, procurement leaders, and sourcing heads to position differentiated solutions. - Institutionalize methodologies, tools, and best practices for consistent high-quality execution. - Partner with technology teams to create AI/ML-driven analytics, and automation. - Represent the company in industry forums, client workshops, and conferences. - Author thought leadership content on sourcing transformation, digital procurement, and supplier innovation Key KPI's - Revenue growth and gross margin for the Strategic Sourcing Subunit - Number of new customers added to the service line. - Number of new service lines introduced. - Number of escalations concerning delivery performance. - Percentage enablement of AI within Strategic Sourcing workflows. - P&L forecast accuracy. - Thought leadership visibility in the Sourcing industry. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or master's in engineering; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Operations, Supply Chain (preferred). Years of experience required for position: (For Grade Mapping) - 1520+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement transformation, or supply chain management, including 5+ years in leadership roles. - Proven expertise in category management, supplier development, cost optimization, and should-costing. - Strong understanding of engineering-led sourcing for global manufacturing supply chains. - Demonstrated commercial acumen with P&L, pre-sales, and solutioning exposure. - Prior experience with engineering services firms, consulting organizations, or OEM/Tier-1 suppliers Attributes - Proven track record in managing P&L, gross margin, and developing new revenue streams. - Extensive experience collaborating with global clients, particularly those based in North America, Europe, or Japan - Exposure to multiple industries and global sourcing ecosystems. - Demonstrated ability to build and scale new practices or functions. - Exposure to multiple industries and global sourcing ecosystems. - Demonstrated ability to build and scale new practices or functions. - Strong stakeholder management capabilities, with confidence in engaging CXOs, engineering leaders, and product managers in client organizations. - Demonstrated ability to attract, mentor, and retain top talent. - Adept at operating within a matrixed, global delivery environment.
