Job Description About The Event Tales Founded in 2015, The Event Tales is a full-service destination event planning company specialising in Indian weddings in Thailand and India. Role: Events Associate We are looking for a highly organised, creative, and proactive Events Associate to support our team in delivering flawless events. This is a hands-on role that will cover many aspects of event planning and execution. Key responsibilities include: - Managing RSVPs and guest lists: managing Whatsapp manager, tracking responses, liaising with families and guests, updating databases. - Coordinating rooming and transport logistics: managing accommodation bookings, guest arrivals/departures, transfers and assisting with check-ins. - Supporting content creation: writing blog posts, social media captions, newsletter pieces or event recaps. - Liaising with suppliers and internal teams: dcor, AV/sound, lighting, makeup artists, entertainers and on-site event crew. - Helping maintain event documentation and timelines: vendor contracts, checklists, event flow charts, post-event reporting. - Assisting in the creation of event proposals - Supporting with on-site coordination during events What We're Looking For - 2-4 years of experience in event planning, hospitality coordination or a similar role (weddings/destination events preferred). - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - Good knowledge of working on Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint - Strong organisational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work well in a team and independently - Ability and confidence to interact with clients and negotiate with vendors.
