Role Description : This is a full-time, on-site role for a BIM Coordinator located in Mumbai. The BIM Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes, collaborating with architects and engineers for effective BIM implementation, and ensuring project standards are maintained. Responsibilities will also include coordinating design solutions for architectural and MEP systems, managing BIM models, and assisting with project documentation and quality control. Position Summary :- The BIM Coordinator plays a key role in supporting architectural design teams by managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes, ensuring model accuracy, and facilitating coordination among multidisciplinary project stakeholders. This role requires strong technical proficiency in BIM platforms, attention to detail, and an ability to collaborate effectively. 1. BIM Management & Coordination - Develop, manage, and maintain BIM models for architectural projects throughout all design phases. - Coordinate BIM workflows between architecture, structural, MEP, and other consultants. - Ensure all models follow project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and office standards. 2. Technical Support & Quality Control - Perform clash detection and model checking using tools such as Navisworks, Solibri, or similar. - Review models for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project documentation requirements. - Troubleshoot BIM-related issues for design teams and provide technical assistance. 3. Standards & Documentation - Create and maintain BIM templates, libraries, and standards in alignment with the firm’s processes. - Assist with developing BIM Execution Plans, model progression specifications, and project-specific workflows. - Ensure documentation and drawings generated from BIM models meet required quality and compliance standards. 4. Collaboration & Communication - Facilitate BIM coordination meetings and communicate findings with internal teams and external stakeholders. - Work closely with project managers, architects, and consultants to ensure smooth BIM integration. - Support design teams in implementing digital tools and best BIM practices. 5. Training & Process Improvement - Train staff on BIM tools including Revit, Navisworks, Dynamo, etc. - Stay updated with emerging BIM technologies and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency. - Contribute to continuous development of BIM protocols within the firm. Qualifications & Skills : Education & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering, or related field. - 3–7 years of experience working in an architectural or multidisciplinary BIM environment. - Proven experience with Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM coordination tools. Technical Skills: - Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (mandatory). - Experience with BIM 360 / ACC, Navisworks, Dynamo, Enscape or Twinmotion (preferred). - Understanding of building systems, construction methods, and architectural documentation. - Knowledge of local building codes and standards (optional but beneficial). Soft Skills: - Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. - Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. - Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables. - Team-oriented mindset with ability to collaborate effectively. - Additional Requirements: - Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards (preferred). - Experience with clash detection workflows and interdisciplinary coordination. - Willingness to stay current with industry innovations and digital workflows.
