Admission Counsellor

Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and highly skilled Admission Counsellor to join our team at a prestigious college located in Jayanagar, Bangalore. The Admission Counsellor will play a pivotal role in guiding prospective students through the entire admissions process for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. This is a customer-facing role that requires excellent communication skills, in-depth knowledge of academic programs, and the ability to foster strong relationships with students, parents, and educational stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Guidance & Counseling:
- Provide detailed information and guidance to prospective students and their families about available UG and PG programs, eligibility criteria, course offerings, and career prospects.
- Advise students on suitable programs based on their academic background, interests, and career aspirations.
- Assist students in filling out application forms and provide necessary documentation support.
2.Admissions Process Management:
- Oversee and manage the complete admissions cycle, from the initial inquiry to final enrollment.
- Ensure smooth and efficient processing of applications, including follow-ups and regular communication with applicants.
- Handle and resolve student and parent queries related to the admission process, including fee structure, program details, and campus facilities.
3.Application Review & Documentation:
- Screen and evaluate applications for eligibility, verifying documents, and ensure all required documents are submitted correctly.
- Coordinate with the administration team to ensure timely processing of student applications and admission approvals.
4.Marketing & Outreach:
- Participate in organizing college open days, webinars, and promotional events for prospective students.
- Assist in the creation of promotional materials, brochures, and digital content aimed at student recruitment.
- Build relationships with schools, colleges, and education consultants to increase awareness of the institutions programs.
5.Database Management:
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of all student inquiries, applications, and communication.
- Prepare reports and summaries on admission trends, applicant demographics, and conversion rates.
6.Follow-Up & Communication:
- Proactively follow up with prospective students, guiding them through the decision-making process and addressing any concerns or queries.
- Keep students and parents informed of admission deadlines, entrance exam dates, and interview schedules.
7.Collaboration with Faculty & Staff:
- Coordinate with faculty members and academic departments to stay updated on program-specific requirements and curriculum changes.
- Ensure smooth communication between academic departments and admissions to align student expectations and program offerings.
