About EvernorthEvernorth Health Services a division of The Cigna Group NYSE CI creates pharmacy care and benefits solutions to improve health and increase vitality We relentlessly innovate to make the prediction prevention and treatment of illness and disease more accessible to millions of people About EvernorthEvernorth Health Services a division of The Cigna Group NYSE CI creates pharmacy care and benefits solutions to improve health and increase vitality We relentlessly innovate to make the prediction prevention and treatment of illness and disease more accessible to millions of people Software Engineering Advisor - PlatformPosition OverviewEvernorth Core Platform Engineering team is looking for an Associate Platform Engineer to design develop and implement robust product APIs and event driven applications for Packaged Business Capabilities PBCs You ll be responsible for incorporating key features like rate resiliency observability and rate limiting to ensure our APIs are secure performant and monitored effectively Design develop and implement robust backend APIs using OpenAPI specs Experience with Infrastructure as Code IaC like terraform cloudformation CICD automation experience with Gitlab CI or Github Actions Integrate rate limiting resiliency strategies and observability practices Develop cloud-native APIs ensuring scalability resilience and adherence to best practices Champion event-driven architecture for efficient data flow Leverage cloud engineering principles preferably with AWS experience Utilize NoSQL databases to store and manage data efficiently Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams product frontend etc Qualifications Required Skills Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and API design principles OpenAPI Experience implementing rate limiting resiliency patterns and observability techniques using Kubernetes Expertise in IaC like terraform or cloud-formation CICD experience on github or gitlab Proficiency in cloud engineering preferably with AWS experience Strong programming skills particularly in TypeScript and or Golang Expertise in NoSQL databases DynamoDB MongoDB Caching Solutions Redis Familiarity with event-driven architecture concepts Required Experience Education A minimum of 8 to 11 years of experience in backend engineering Excellent communication and collaboration skills Desired Experience Exposure to AWS Healthcare experience including Disease Management Coaching of team members Location Hours of WorkFull-time position working 40 hours per week Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad India with flexibility to work remotely as required Equal Opportunity StatementEvernorth is an Equal Opportunity Employer actively encouraging and supporting organization-wide involvement of staff in diversity equity and inclusion efforts to educate inform and advance both internal practices and external work with diverse client populations
