About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer who is passionate about building robust, scalable, and efficient automated testing solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks that support testing across web, mobile, API, and backend services. You will collaborate closely with QA leadership, developers, and product teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

- Develop and maintain automated testing solutions to support the application development ecosystem.
- Build and maintain automated test libraries and utilities using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Design, develop, and support automated testing for:
- Internal browser-based applications
- Native mobile apps (iOS/Android)
- *RESTful APIs and backend services
- Consume Gherkin-style test cases and implement them within the test automation framework.
- Develop API-based testing tools for data setup, cleanup, and workflow simulation to enhance testing efficiency.
- Collaborate with QA leadership to track test coverage, monitor quality metrics, and identify opportunities for automation improvements.

Required Skills :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of experience in software testing strategies, including exploratory, regression, and end-to-end validation.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience developing test automation using Playwright, Selenium (TestNG), or Cypress.
- Good experience in using API testing tools such as Postman, ReadyAPI, or REST Assured.
- Good programming experience in Java, Python, or similar object-oriented languages.
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Experience in writing and executing SQL queries using MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- 2+ years of experience automating test setup and cleanup processes.

Preferred:

- Experience working with BDD frameworks and Gherkin-style test criteria.
- Strong knowledge of API test development using Postman, REST Assured, or ReadyAPI.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure Pipelines, or AWS Pipelines.
- Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Agile development workflows.
- Experience with test data management or test data automation.
- Exposure to mobile test automation using Playwright for mobile web or Appium.
