About The Role - The Sr Specialist Indirect Procurement will collaborate with the Supply Chain Category Management team and internal Centers of Excellence (CoE) to build and maintain the annual RFx pipeline. This role is accountable for managing RFx timelines, assessing risks, creating mitigation plans, and ensuring productivity targets are achieved. The position requires adherence to Carrier's standard sourcing processes and effective use of tools such as Ariba to execute RFx events. - Additionally, the role focuses on building organizational capability and capacity to support growth and high-performance expectations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving talent attraction, engagement, development, and retention. You will work with global supply chain, regions across sites, and your team to make things happen Key Responsibilities - Core Sourcing knowledge - Knowledge and exposure to Indirect categories, cost reduction, sourcing, best practice RFQ's, negotiation process thereby guiding team to drive best outcomes for Carrier - Strong exposure in cost estimation, negotiations - Should have worked directly in analyzing Total Cost of Ownership of products/services - Hands on experience in working on spend data to drive actionable insights for spend category - Should have experience driving initiatives for indirect categories to enable productivity - Team strategy Strategic thinking- ability to think through and independently define priorities for team Periodic engagement with stakeholders to define strategy, align on strategy, adapt strategy based on changing business needs and stakeholders expectations - People management Excellent People Management skills coupled with an empathetic leadership style Strong desire to drive for results Strong sense of accountability for self and others Strong program management skills, including change management Excellent influencing / negotiation skills and ability to work multi-dimensionally in a complex business environment - ability to influence upward, peer-wide, and downward Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work effectively within teams and collaborate with other Carrier entities/ stakeholders for completion of projects Self-directing and self-motivating An individual with a strong sense of urgency An individual with strong people development focus Requirements Bachelor's Degree from a premier institute is a must, MBA preferred 12-15 years of supply chain management experience, exposure to CoE environment essential Strong sourcing knowledge Should have managed a team of 4-10 direct reports Ability to work in a global environment with global stakeholders across multiple countries Strategic thinking- ability to think through and independently define priorities Benefits We are committed to offering competitive benefits programs for all of our employees and enhancing our programs when necessary. - Have peace of mind and body with our health insurance - Drive forward your career through professional development opportunities - Achieve your personal goals with our Employee Assistance Programme Our commitment to you Our greatest assets are the expertise, creativity and passion of our employees.
