We are seeking an experienced Windows Administrator to manage and optimize the Windows Server environments supporting our Miles2Market project While most of the infrastructure is Linux-based key components such as SQL Server databases developer tools output and document management applications and others are hosted on Windows Servers This role is critical for maintaining the performance security and reliability of these Windows systems across multiple environments Dev Int Prod Mig for each European country The ideal candidate will be adept at managing complex environments and ensuring the smooth operation of high-priority systems To ensure success as a Windows Administrator you should have in-depth knowledge of Windows server setup deployment and maintenance advanced coding skills and the ability to solve complex IT issues Ultimately a top-class Windows Administrator ensures the smooth running of the company s networking and server systems while maintaining a high level of securityResponsibilities Manage Windows Server environments for the Miles2Market project across multiple European countries Ensure the performance reliability and security of Windows Servers hosting SQL Server developer tools and document management applications Perform regular server maintenance including patch management software updates and monitoring for potential issues Maintain Active Directory AD groups permissions and configurations Monitor and optimize server performance to meet SLA requirements Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks proactively Implement and manage robust backup and recovery solutions for Windows Servers Ensure disaster recovery plans are in place and tested regularly Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security policies Apply security patches promptly and monitor servers for potential vulnerabilities Maintain and manage multiple environments Dev Int Prod Mig for each country ensuring minimal disruption during deployments and updates Support the installation and configuration of applications and services on Windows Servers Create and maintain detailed documentation for server configurations processes and procedures Provide regular status reports on system performance updates and incidents Work closely with Linux administrators database administrators and application teams to ensure seamless operation knowledge of Active Directory Group Policies and Windows Server roles Ability to diagnose and resolve server-related issues efficiently under pressure Familiarity with security best practices and tools for Windows Server environments Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for task automation and management Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders Ability to document technical processes clearly and effectively Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Windows Server Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent are preferred 3 to 5 years of experience in Windows admin Bachelor s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science Proven experience managing Windows Server environments in a complex multi-country setup Strong knowledge of Active Directory Group Policies and Windows Server roles Ability to diagnose and resolve server-related issues efficiently under pressure Familiarity with security best practices and tools for Windows
