Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and committed Senior Java Developer to join our backend engineering team in Bengaluru South. This is a full-time onsite role (5-day working) focused on building scalable APIs and enterprise-grade backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. You’ll work in an agile Scrum environment and leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and code quality. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA - Integrate with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) - Implement Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT for secure API access - Conduct unit and integration testing using JUnit, Mockito, and Spring Test - Use AI-powered tools (GitHub Copilot, Tabnine, SonarQube) for code generation, review, and testing - Participate in Scrum ceremonies: stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers - Maintain clean documentation and contribute to code reviews Must-Have Qualifications - 3–5 years of professional experience in Java backend development - Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs - Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, SonarQube) - Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams - Stable work history: ≤2 company switches, with ≥3 years at one firm - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field - Strong communication skills and understanding of the Indian IT ecosystem Nice-to-Have Skills - Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) - Experience with Docker, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) - Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI, Kafka, RabbitMQ - Contributions to open-source Java projects or public portfolios - Agile/Scrum certifications or advanced Java/Spring credentials Compensation & Benefits - Onsite working: Monday to Friday - Opportunities for growth in AI, DevOps, and Cloud engineering - Collaborative team culture with mentorship and long-term career paths Work Location This is a fully onsite role based in Bengaluru South, close to major IT parks and tech campuses.
