Business Unit Controller

Job Description GG11- Business Unit Controller The jobholder works independently in all aspects of accounting for an entity or a group of entities, work with 3rd Party providers for statutory and tax reporting, yearend submissions and other accounting areas. The objective is to ensure compliance with accounting policies and Local Tax & GAAP requirements. The jobholder is expected to interact closely with various groups including but not limited to Business Units, General Accounting organization, Group Finance, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit and 3rd party providers and to manage the relationship with our local statutory auditors. Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities: - Assists in verifying financial data in compliance with Group procedures on a periodic basis - Contributes to maintaining appropriate internal controls over financial reporting (Internal/external) processes - Supports in understanding and adhering to all financial and accounting regulations and legislation - Conducts preparing and review of periodic financial statements (internal/external) of business/geography/function/division in a timely and accurate manner and support analyses of material variances - Supports Finance, Business and Corporate function stakeholders to deliver outcomes they own by supporting corresponding accounting, reporting and financial control support and enablement activities. - Assists, supports and coordinates responses to audits Qualifications & Experience: - Qualification Degree (or equivalent) and globally recognized professional accounting qualification (preferred) - Previous experience in reporting and financial control would be helpful.
