DESCRIPTION Amazon Payment Experience Platform team at Amazon India Development Center Bangalore is looking for a Developer to design and build the next generation of Payments platform and product from the ground up This is a rare opportunity to be part of a team that will be responsible for building a successful sustainable and strategic business for Amazon from the ground up You will get the opportunity to code on almost all key pages on brand new Payments stack building features and improving business metrics This team will work on diverse technology stack from SOA UI frameworks big-data and ML algorithms The ideal candidate will be instrumental in shaping the product direction and will be actively involved in defining key product features that impact the business You will work with Principal Engineers at Amazon to evolve the design and architecture of the products owned by this team You will be responsible to set up and hold a high software quality bar besides providing technical direction to a highly technical team of Software Engineers Position Responsibilities - Participate in the full development life cycle working within broadly defined parameters including test plan execution and software quality needs - Own the delivery of a piece of a system or application - Execution against project plans and delivery commitments - Build software solutions where the problem is defined to a point - Create and execute appropriate quality plans project plans test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts - Drive improvements in processes and operational excellence - Help to mentor interns The ideal candidate will be a leader quick learner and be able to work independently He she should be able to operate in a very fast paced environment where time to hit market is super critical The candidate will need to balance technical leadership and savvy with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about technology choices BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2 years of non-internship design or architecture design patterns reliability and scaling of new and existing systems experience - 3 years of Video Games Industry supporting title Development Release or Live Ops experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience - Bachelor s degree in computer science or equivalent Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process including support for the interview or onboarding process please visit for more information If the country region you re applying in isn t listed please contact your Recruiting Partner
