Job Description Teamware Solutions is seeking a proficient Desktop Support Engineer/System Administrator with expertise in Windows 10 environments. This role is essential for providing comprehensive technical support and administration for end-user computing devices. The successful candidate will work with relevant technologies, ensuring smooth operations, and actively contributing to business objectives through meticulous analysis, development, implementation, and troubleshooting within the Windows 10 domain. Roles and Responsibilities: - Operating System Management: Install, configure, deploy, and maintain Windows 10 operating systems on desktops, laptops, and other end-user devices. - Technical Support: Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users for all Windows 10 related issues, including OS crashes, software errors, hardware malfunctions, and peripheral connectivity problems. - Troubleshooting & Resolution: Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex issues within the Windows 10 environment. Implement effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime and optimal user productivity. - Software & Application Management: Deploy, configure, and update software applications on Windows 10 workstations. Manage application compatibility and resolve conflicts. - User & Device Management: Administer user accounts, profiles, permissions, and security settings within a Windows domain environment (e.g., Active Directory). Manage device enrollment and configuration. - Security & Compliance: Ensure Windows 10 devices adhere to organizational security policies, patching schedules, and compliance standards. Assist with vulnerability management and endpoint protection. - Hardware Support: Provide basic hardware support, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. - Network Connectivity: Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues (TCP/IP, DNS, Wi-Fi, VPN) impacting Windows 10 devices. - Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for common issues, troubleshooting steps, system configurations, and best practices. - Collaboration: Work closely with IT infrastructure teams, network administrators, and other support personnel to resolve complex issues and contribute to IT projects. Preferred Candidate Profile: - Windows 10 Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in administering, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows 10 operating systems. - Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft 365) and common business productivity applications. - Networking Fundamentals: Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN. - System Administration Concepts: Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and user/device management in an enterprise environment. - Troubleshooting: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to diagnosing and resolving technical issues. - Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to interact effectively with users of varying technical proficiencies. - Tools: Experience with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools. - Certifications (Plus): Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Windows Client) or CompTIA A+ certification are advantageous.
