As a Mainframe Modernization Application Migration Test Lead, your role is to be the guardian of software perfection. You'll be at the forefront of innovation, using your expertise to craft, execute, and elevate testing reports using state-of-the-art tools and techniques. Your expertise will ensure that new and enhanced systems, along with their intricate interfaces, perform flawlessly.

In this role, you'll be writing and executing test plans and orchestrating automated scripts and programs to unveil the mysteries hidden within the code. You'll dive into the heart of software, understanding its every nook and cranny, and testing it to ensure it behaves exactly as intended. Your eye for detail will spot bugs and integration hiccups before going into a production environment.

Required Skills and Experience

- Over 8 years of experience in Mainframe applications testing.

- Strong background in mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and others).

- Execute mainframe modernization projects migrating from legacy systems (COBOL, z/OS, etc.) to modern stacks (Java, microservices, cloud).

- Supported testing of mainframe applications (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, etc.) during migration to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Responsible for proposing, developing, and integrating test methods, tools, techniques, and procedures for modernization programs.

- Establish and enforce QA/testing best practices that support effective implementation of modernization testing processes.

- Evaluate and recommend testing and code transformation tools (e.g., Micro Focus, Blu Age, Astadia, AWS Mainframe Modernization service & others).

- Enable DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for modernized applications.

- Recommend resources, processes, and technologies for testing across the Mainframe Modernization Program.

- Lead technical and non-technical requirements gathering and analysis for testing initiatives.

- Drive coordination and collaboration with project teams to ensure alignment, efficient development, and support.

Preferred Skills and Experience

. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
. ISTQB Certification (International Software Testing Qualification Board)

. Background in Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.

. Experience with tools and platforms like AWS Mainframe Modernization, Azure Migration tools, or IBM Z modernization solutions.

. Demonstrate strong client communication, technical documentation, and stakeholder alignment skills.
