The Assistant Product Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the creation, execution, and optimization of strategic and operational initiatives to boost brand portfolio profitability, market share, and revenue. This role requires strong leadership skills in various assignments and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

In close partnership with the Product Manager, the Assistant Product Manager supports the implementation of marketing and promotional plans, ensures seamless sales force communication, and leverages market intelligence to inform decision-making. They are also responsible for managing the Product Life Cycle (PLC) of Brands.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, collaborate, implement, and be accountable for strategic and operational plans that maximize profitability, market share, and revenue growth for the brand portfolio in both the short and long term.
  2. Lead various assignments to help the Business Unit meet overall business goals.
Key Accountabilities:
  1. Develop marketing and promotional plans for products to support end consumers' needs.
  2. Ensure effective marketing strategy implementation through sales force connections.
  3. Maintain market intelligence through primary research and customer interactions.
  4. Collaborate with internal and external media to ensure proper strategy execution.
  5. Provide training, product knowledge, and direction to the field sales team to equip them with scientific and communication skills.
  6. Work closely with cross-functional teams like Medical Affairs, Learning and Development, and R&D to drive processes forward.
  7. Develop brand plans/strategies for the product range, including market penetration strategies, market research, and competitor analysis.
  8. Conduct SWOT analyses of product lines (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) and guide sales teams to capitalize on opportunities and drive growth in product sales.
  9. Create brand inputs for promotions, such as value-added services, lookbook materials, newsletters, flipcharts, or digital campaigns.
  10. Organize meetings, scientific symposia, continuing medical education sessions, conferences, and events to enhance brand visibility among healthcare professionals and hospitals.
  11. Motivate sales team members by organizing training camps, award ceremonies, and recognition programs.
  12. Drive product forecasting, new product pipeline strategies, pre-launch and launch strategies, and post-launch initiatives for product growth.
About You:
  • Education: Bachelor of Pharmacy/Bachelor of Medicine & Master of Business Administration
