Commercial Real Estate Head of Accounting

Accounting Manager Summary:

The Accounting Manager at Jupiter Texas will oversee a team responsible for tracking and recording daily cash movements and ensuring accurate postings to the books. They will prepare detailed reports and accounting summaries for all commercial properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Key responsibilities include managing financial records, generating periodic financial reports, and supporting audits.

This full-time, remote position requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent organizational skills, strong analytical abilities, and a proven track record in accounting and financial management within the commercial real estate sector.

Jupiter Texas Real Estate Investment Group is a start-up commercial real estate investment group based in Dallas,Texas. We specialize in acquiring, adding value, managing and selling CRE properties with the goal of maximizing investor returns. Our portfolio includes commercial retail properties, medical buildings, daycare facilities, single-family residents and commercial land across the country.

Salary: Rs. 12 - 15 LPA ( Based on qualifications and experience )

Job Timing: 3pm to 12am IST

Job Responsibilities

1.Financial Reporting:

- Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with IFRS guidelines, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Generate income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and accompanying notes.

2.Financial Analysis:

- Conduct detailed analyses of financial data to provide actionable insights into financial performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Perform ratio and variance analyses and create financial reports to support strategic decision-making.

3.Financial Planning and Budgeting:

- Collaborate with departments to develop financial plans and budgets in alignment with IFRS standards.
- Ensure that financial forecasts and projections adhere to IFRS requirements.

4.Stakeholder Communication:

- Present financial results and insights to internal and external stakeholders, including management, investors, and regulators.
- Prepare financial presentations, reports, and disclosures to ensure compliance with IFRS

5.Tax Filings and Audit Coordination:

- Oversee the preparation of annual tax filings and act as the primary contact for year-end audits and tax returns.

6.Month-End and Annual Reporting:

- Compile financial data to support the preparation of GAAP-compliant month-end and annual financial reports.
- Update and complete month-end close checklists to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

7.Bank Reconciliations and Receivables Management:

- Review bank reconciliations for all properties.
- Reconcile receivables daily and remit funds to the appropriate debt facilities for paydown.

8.Accounts Payable Processing:

- Process accounts payable paperwork and ensure the accuracy of check runs.

9.CAM Reconciliations:

- Prepare Common Area Maintenance (CAM) recoveries and expense reconciliations.
- Handle tenant inquiries and prepare estimated CAM billings.

10.Cross-Department Collaboration:

- Work closely with accounting team members, asset managers, property managers, and other departments to promptly resolve issues and improve operational efficiency.

11.Other Responsibilities:

- Perform additional accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as needed.

Job Requirements:

- Minimum 3-4 year experience working in commercial real estate preferred
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, or a Bachelor's degree in business with emphasis in accounting. CFA, CPA, CA, CMA preferred
- A keen attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Ability to be a self-starter and work effectively in a small team and contribute to areas beyond the direct scope of responsibility
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel
- Must have strong project management skills, including the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely manner
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
- Strong familiarity with Yardi is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

- B.Com/M.Com/CA/CPA/CFA degree with minimum 6-8 years of corporate experience, preferably from reputed companies
